THIS HIGH-QUALITY MODEL IS INCREDIBLY WELL-MADE AND WORKS LIKE A DREAM

This elegantly crafted Stirling engine is made from high quality materials. The base is made from stainless steel, polished to a mirror shine. The cylinder is glass, and the flywheel is made from a zinc alloy. All parts have been treated so they will not rust, and the mechanism is oil-free.

SO EASY TO OPERATE

Simply pour a cup of hot coffee, and place the Stirling engine on top of it. Give the flywheel a little push and it will start to work, as if by magic! When the wheel begins to slow, your drink is cool enough to enjoy.

TOP TIP: Want to see the wheel spin even faster? Try placing the engine on your cup of hot liquid, and then dropping an ice cube or two onto the upper plate. By increasing the difference in temperature, you increase the speed!

IT JUST KEEPS GOING!

If you keep it warm, the Stirling engine can run continuously for more than 24 hours! One customer told us that they placed it on a USB cup warmer (not included) and it kept going on their desk for weeks! However, do be careful not to overheat the engine. There are plastic parts that will become damaged if exposed to excess heat, so don’t put it directly onto a stove etc.

A FANTASTIC AND ORIGINAL GIFT

If you want to give a gift that’s unusual and a little out of the ordinary, you can’t go wrong with this beautiful, ornate and fascinating contraption. It arrives perfectly packaged to give as a gift, for a birthday or holiday to friends or family, young or old.

A great teaching aid for educators, and a fabulous science project prop. Who wouldn’t love their own Stirling engine model?

Features:

  • Speed up to 180-200 RPM
  • Minimum liquid temperature about 20℃ Celsius/68 Fahrenheit.
  • Color: Silver Bottom Gold Flywheel
  • Materials: carbon steel, nickel-plated carbon steel, stainless steel, glass, bronze, PVC foam and plastic.
  • Size: 10*10*14cm/3.94* 3.94* 5.51 in.
  • Weight: 250g/0.55Ib.

Attention:

1️⃣. If the machine runs a little noisy, use ONLY a small amount of graphite dry lube, this will reduce noise levels.

2️⃣. DO NOT use oil to lubricate the engine. The oil will mix with dust in the air and increase friction, which will prevent the flywheel from running freely.

WHAT IS THE STIRLING ENGINE?

🤔 A Stirling engine is a heat engine that operates by cyclic compression and expansion of air or (or other gas), at different temperatures, the heat energy is converted to mechanical work.

⚙️ The engine is like a steam engine in that all of the engine’s heat flows in and out through the engine wall.

HOW IT WORKS?

🤔 This is traditionally known as an external combustion engine as opposed to an internal combustion engine where the heat input is a result of the combustion of a fuel within the body of the working fluid. Unlike the steam engine’s use of water in both its liquid and gaseous phases as the working fluid, the Stirling engine encloses a fixed quantity of permanently gaseous fluid such as air or helium.

☀️ As in all heat engines, the general cycle consists of compressing cool gas, heating the gas, expanding the hot gas, and finally cooling the gas before repeating the cycle.

♨️ You can put the Stirling motor toy on top of hot water to achieve the temperature difference. You also can put it on top of ice to get the temperature difference, so you can have fun experimenting!

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING:

Good Product

This is an engine I saw while watching videos on the concept of entropy. One of the videos used this external combustion Sterling engine to demonstrate entropy. I thought it was a clever little gadget. I’m pleased with it and look forward to demonstrating it to my grandkids.

John. B - USA, Knoxville

Very cool.

My son loves things that spin. This tiny decoration / toy is very interesting to him. Wife was impressed too.Overall, seems like a good purchase. Spendy, but appreciated by the ones it was purchased for.

Cara Larson. USA

Needs a light nudge to start

It was absolutely well made, lovely piece of novelty machinery. I know it will make my husband very happy and it's just beautiful. Waited the full 2 minutes and realized afterwards when my kiddo told me that it just needs a little tap to start then it gained speed! Works great!

Grace Lockwood. USA

Solid, precise, well functionning

The engine is exactly the same as in the video and on images, it is quite firm, all the machine parts are precisely manufactured. Assembly was easy, just two clicks - I had to use little bit of force and being afraid of damaging it, I used pen to pressure on exact point, where parts were supposed to click together. It functions well, fun to watch.

Good Stirling Engine

It runs over half an hour on a cup of coffee ☕️ and I timed it at 2 hours and 58 minutes on a thermos style cup filled with hot water that was preheated in the microwave.I like the retro style of this engine and it is well built for the price!

Noah L. - Modesto, California

This is a fun little engine to watch. Place the flywheel and connect two connecting rods and the engine is ready. After discovering and removing a little clip holding the piston in place for shipping, the engine ran perfectly on top of a mug of hot water. A little bit of graphite will quiet it a bit. Great for individuals who are into mechanical stuff.

Henry M. - Glendale, Arizona

I'm a high school physics teacher who's all about cool science gadgets, especially ones that make learning fun. You know how science toys and demo stuff can be kind of cheap and break easily? Well, this Stirling engine is a total game-changer. It's super easy to put together, the parts are high-quality, and it works like a charm.

I just use a cup of hot coffee or water to heat it up, and after a minute or so, I give the flywheel a little spin, and it's off and running. The hotter the water, the faster it goes. Who would've thought?

It's hilarious to see people's faces when they try this thing. Put it on a cup of hot water, give the flywheel a gentle push, and watch it go. Everyone wants to know what's happening. It's a total icebreaker! This thing is awesome.

I could probably go on praising this machine and the company that stands behind it for hours. And the machine can and does carry on for hours, pleasantly ticking away atop a mug of tea. But I'll keep it to the pertinent details so you can get on with ordering yourself one and enjoying it as I'm currently enjoying mine. Not only is this machine a work of art, beautifully crafted to show off its mechanism, it's also a very effective functional demonstration of a centuries-old technology. And a fantastic example of a handful of scientific principles. Not to mention a stunning and entrancing conversation piece that's guaranteed to amuse just about anyone. Firstly, the packaging these machines are shipped in is very sturdy. They really care about it getting to you in perfect shape. Second, the machines themselves are very well made. They don't seem to have spared any expense in quality or craftsmanship. Third, and most important, this company really stands behind their product. Customer service correspondence is prompt, attentive, and eager to please. Sure, these engines are really just very elaborate toys. But I have no doubt that mine will last, and continue to bring joy and amusement, for a lifetime. The perfect gift for that person who's hard to shop for. The perfect addition to anyone's collection of curiosities. It's just as much at home on a desk, a mantle, a window sill, or your coffee table. Fair warning: you're going to want to collect more of these engines once you get this one out of the box!

Works as expected, fascinating to observe.

This is probably one of the best perpetual motion machines that I have been able to find on the Internet for a good price. Just take your time putting the hooks on the sides on so you don't bend or break them.
